The Art Of Football

A new book project, The Art of Football, is currently being developed.

Conceived as a visual and historical journey through football’s formative decades, the book is planned to explore the game from the mid-nineteenth century onwards, examining the evolution of rules, clubs, colours, crowds, through the distinctive visual cultures that surrounded football in each era.

Blending archival research with carefully considered illustration and colour work, the project seeks to present football history as it was experienced and represented at the time.

The project remains in the planning phase, and no final decision has yet been taken on publication. Further details will be shared in due course.
